- Patience (or forbearing) is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances.
WOW did I under estimate the meaning of this in my one of my previous posts. Before Adrianna was born, I thought I really understood patience. Hell I work in IT, I have to deal with some very non-computer savvy people on a daily basis and some of these are my own family(no names are given on purpose), what could be more trying then trying to explain to a person that its okay that the link on that website is purple even though it wasn't yesterday.
Surely taking care of a baby, cant be much more difficult then dealing with the technologically handicapped I deal with on a daily basis.

WOW.. How time files!
Man does time fly. The last time I updated this blog I was anticipating the arrival of my daughter. As I am sure you assumed or heard, shes here!
Look at that smile! This is one of those pictures that I will never forget. The excitement and happiness on her face is exactly what brings me joy as a parent.
In the last 4 months this little girl has taught and showed me so much. She has reminded me that its the little things in life are what matter most. She doesn't care about the traffic we sit in on the way to the store. All she cares is if the lights and sounds on her toys are working. She doesn't care how much Sophie licks her face as long as she has a tuft of her hair in her hand. She thinks its absolutely amazing that her daddy can blow raspberries and tries to mimic me(shes getting really good at them now.)

Waiting for baby
Since this blog is supposed to be about my experiences as a father and I am not quite there yet, I figured I would share a quick story with you. Who knows, I might learn something from it.
If you couldn't tell from my last post, I am very excited about my daughter coming into this world. A couple of weeks ago, Mandy and I were asking each other, what I assume is a common question for soon-to-be parents, "When do you think the baby is going to be born?" So I playfully suggested that my wife would go into labor sometime Thursday night and then we'd be celebrating Adrianna's birth the next day.
